There's a curious story from when he was dating Renèe Zellweger; she brought Charlotte along for a set visit. After Cooper shared a sandwich with Charlotte, she unexpectedly fell sick and needed a vet's care. Interestingly, not too long after this incident, Cooper and Zellweger went their separate ways. A mere coincidence? That's for you to decide. Cooper also had a rescued dog named Samson but he passed away at the age of 15 in 2010.
