SADIE - Back in 2015, Millie, a 4-year-old basset hound in search of sustenance, found her way into the hearts of George and Amal Clooney. Unearthed near a local eatery, Millie, with her captivating googly eyes, delightful long ears, and dainty legs, had previously known the harsh reality of being without a home. However, her fortune took a delightful turn as she became a cherished member of the Clooney family, basking in the love of her celebrity and animal-loving parents. Undoubtedly, Millie hit the jackpot in the rescue doggie lottery!
MAX - George Clooney shared his life with Max, a remarkable 300lb Vietnamese pot-bellied pig who occasionally enjoyed the privilege of sharing his owner's bed. Max defied the odds, reaching the impressive age of 19, surpassing the typical lifespan of potbellied pigs, which ranges between 12 to 15 years. Towards the end, Max grappled with arthritis and partial blindness. Reflecting on Max's passing in 2005, George expressed his surprise, stating, “He was as old a pig as the vets had ever seen. I was really surprised, because he’s been a big part of my life.”
EINSTEIN - Einstein Clooney's story is one of extraordinary luck. In 2010, George Clooney adopted him from a California animal shelter, where he had ended up as an elderly and ailing stray. Prior to George's intervention, the compassionate organization Camp Cocker Rescue had rescued him from the shelter, providing a foster home. George discovered Einstein online, captivated by the tale of an older, overweight, black cocker spaniel. Einstein went on to lead a fulfilling and joyous life, and upon his passing, he generously left a contribution to Camp Cocker Rescue. Truly, Einstein was the epitome of the best furry companion.
LOUIE - A triumphant return to the very shelter where they had adopted Einstein, three years later, saw George Clooney and his wife Amal extending their family once more. This time, they welcomed Louie, a charming blonde Cocker Spaniel, into their lives from Camp Cocker Rescue. Interestingly, George skipped the turkey meatball ritual this time around, yet Louie, enamored by his new family, embraced the Clooneys with affection. Louie even accompanied them for a meeting with Millie, the basset hound, undergoing a successful sniff test before officially becoming a part of the Clooney household. Fortunately, Millie passed the test with flying colors!
