How I Met My Father

Daddy adopted me back in 2018 after I was rescued from a devastating hurricane aftermath. Daddy, who was in Austin at the time, drove nearly three hours to see me in person, and from the very first meeting, we both knew it was meant to be. Woof woof!

Daddy changed my name from Sylvia’s to Kuma, meaning “bear” in Japanese.

Months passed, and I was finally ready to travel to my forever home. Since certain commercial airlines restrict bully breeds on flights, getting me across the country became difficult.

That’s when Pilots N Paws, a nonprofit organisation, stepped up to help arrange my journey to the East Coast.

After months of waiting, Daddy drove to meet me at the airport. Stepping off the flight, I was always eager to give hugs; Daddy instantly wrapped me in his arms. Today, Daddy allows me to share the bed with him and have my head on the pillow.

Did you know I have three awesome siblings named Clyde, Sophie, and Dolly? They live with their amazing mommy, Jennifer Aniston. Sometimes, I get to hang out with them because my Daddy and Jenny take turns taking care of all of us. It's really cool to have them around because they bring so much fun! But we do miss Dolly a lot since she's not with us anymore. She was super fun to play with. Dolly, if you're up there in doggo heaven, we hope you're watching over us and having a great time!
