Matthew Macfadyen's Dogs
BUSTER - Matthew Macfadyen and his wife Keeley Hawes have a giant red standard golden poodle named Buster, which they got in the summer of 2020. They chose this breed because it’s hypoallergenic, as Macfadyen is allergic to cats and dogs. Buster almost looks like an oversized teddy bear.
DOG - Matthew Macfadyen and his wife are proud adoptive parents to a new four-legged friend. They already have an adorable fluffy pup named Buster, but they recently welcomed a new addition courtesy of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
# David Matthew Macfadyen was born in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, to Meinir (Owen), a drama teacher and actress, and Martin Macfadyen, an oil executive.
# David has spent at least part of his childhood in Indonesia because of his father's career.
# He hadn't read Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" before shooting the film adaptation.
# Macfadyen won critical acclaim in the UK with his work with the stage company Cheek By Jowl in the 1990s.
# He was well-established as a stage actor when he made his first TV appearance in Wuthering Heights (1998).
# Did you know? David is a Marathon runner.
# His role as Tom Quinn, head of Section D, in the hit BBC series MI-5 (2002) made him famous.
