Matthew McConaughey Pets

FOXY - In February 2006, following the untimely passing of Ms. Hud, McConaughey made Foxy public on Oprah Winfrey's program. An Australian cattle dog breed descended from the dingo, the red heeler. Foxy has frequently been featured in tabloid publications as a result of his human being frequently seen jogging shirtless on the beach.

B.J. - After Foxy, he had a second dog named B.J., which stands for "beef jerky". On The Graham Norton Show, he related a bizarre tale about B.J. that involves B.J., a gigantic ram, and dumping the baby over a cliff to get away. To see the entire story, watch the video.

BIGI - His third dog, Bigi, was adopted by his wife Camila as a puppy in August 2012.

MS. HUD - McConaughey acquired Ms. Hud, a lab/chow mix, from an Arizona animal shelter in 1993. They traveled everywhere together and were very close. Sadly, Ms. Hud had to be put down after receiving a cancer diagnosis in 2005.

CROSS BREED - Camila, Matthew's wife announced the adoption of this 4-month-old little pup on 15 January 2021 on Instagram. But that's not all. Just two days later, she surprised everyone again by announcing that they had also adopted another cute puppy who was only 2 months old. Both puppies came from the same pet organization. It's wonderful to see them opening their hearts to these lovable doggos.

BLACK LAB - Meet the newest member of the McConaughey-Alves family! This adorable black Labrador has joined their crew, which already has two older dogs, two cute pups, one kitty, and their three awesome kids. Camila, Matthew's wife shared a photo on Instagram of her cuddling with the doggy and thanked @humanesociety for helping her adopt this little guy!

CAT - Camila and Matthew McConaughey's cat, whose name remains a mystery to the public, often makes appearances on Camila's Instagram. In a heartwarming post, Camila surprised her followers by sharing a sweet photo of her daughter Vida and the cat snuggling together during the holiday season.
