DARLA - Vanessa is the proud owner of a delightful toy poodle mix named Darla. She came into Vanessa's life when she was dating Austin Butler. They discovered Darla living next door to Austin's mom, who noticed the little poodle mix enduring the scorching summer days without food or water on a neighbor's balcony. Concerned for the dog's well-being, Austin's mom offered to care for her herself if her owners couldn't. After Austin's mom's passing, Vanessa and Austin decided to adopt Darla, and even after their relationship ended, Vanessa continued to provide a loving home for Darla. These days, Darla is living her best life with Vanessa.

SHADOW - Vanessa had a special bond with her toy poodle, Shadow. Originally, Shadow belonged to Vanessa's younger sister, who was too young to take care of her. Vanessa shared that it felt like Shadow personally chose her as her owner, and they formed a strong connection. Vanessa lovingly cared for Shadow until the dog's passing in 2016.
